About Us

Southwest Institute for Families and Children (SWI) received a Prevention Grant from Northern Arizona Regional Behavioral Health Authority (NARBHA) to produce this website. Family members, youth, and staff from SWI and NARBHA worked together to design the site.

The CORE Team (family members and SWI staff) has been involved with multiple systems for many years. They all are very knowledgeable about services and other resources. They are successful in partnering with professionals, too. The SWI Project Manager has worked in Arizona systems for 28 years.

The focus of this website is Northern Arizona, which includes the counties of Mohave, Yavapai, Coconino, Navajo and Apache Counties as well as Native American Nations. Northern Arizona is also the primary service area of NARBHA. NARBHA is a private, non-profit corporation designated by the Arizona Department of Health Services as responsible for the planning, implementation, funding, monitoring and administration of behavioral health services. Individuals, family members, NARBHA staff, their providers and other community organization members are key partners.
